Mass Feeding Program

Imagine a program that provides food to more than 100 families in less than 2 hours. Amazing? Yes. Farfetched? Not at all. The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan’s Mass Feeding Program does just that.

Once a week, the Salvation Army-Beecher Corps (Flint), Foss Avenue Baptist (Flint), St. Mary's (Flint), Flint Foursquare (Flint), First Ward Community Center (Saginaw), and Old Town Christian Outreach Center (Saginaw) and others each receive approximately 10,000 pounds of food for distribution.

Volunteers sort the food into boxes or bags and distribute the food directly to those in need- a process that takes just a few hours. This is a great program that has had a tremendous impact on the communities in which it serves.
