Feeding America estimates that, as a result of the pandemic, more than 211,000 residents in eastern Michigan are struggling with hunger.
It should NOT be this way. Your gift, combined with the Food Bank’s buying power, provides needed nutrition for children and senior citizens who worry about when their next meal may be. The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan supplies food to over 700 hunger relief partners including food pantries, churches, schools, and meal programs in 22 counties. But we cannot do it without your support and every donation makes a difference. In fact, $1 provides 6 meals! Money goes further at the Food Bank because of partnerships with retail stores, food manufacturers & distributors and Michigan farmers. How will you help feed hungry families this holiday season? Virtual Food Drives
Virtual Food Drives are easy! We create a branded fundraising page for your organization to host on online, virtual food drive. The funds raised will be used to purchase the foods our agencies need when they need them the most. By donating a dollar instead of a can, your gift could be used to provide fresh produce, meat or dairy products to those in need.
Fundraising
Get your staff involved selling paper ornaments to your patrons and clientele. These ornaments are well recognized in the community and create a great display in the public areas of your business, encouraging others to give and showcasing your dedication to hunger relief.
Donations
Many organizations donate to our Holiday Campaign, either from the company directly or as part of their employee giving initiatives. There are many ways to engage your staff in a special event or a fun competition between departments. It’s a great way to give back.
